The 9th edition of Records and Information Management Awareness Conference, Awards and Exposition (RIMACE & RIMA Awards) with the theme: ”Records and Information Management in the Era of Cloud Computing” has come and gone. It took place at the multipurpose Etal hall and Suites on kudirat Abiola Way Ikeja Lagos, the event was attended by the Director General of the Lagos State Records and Archives Bureau (LASRAB) and a host of Professionals from within and outside of the Country. The 2013 edition addressed major issues surrounding Legal Issues in Records, Information and Archives Management, Records and Information Management Capacity Development in Africa and Electronic Records Management: Associated Issues and Challenges. Exhibitors like Assai Software Services BV Netherlands, Top Image Systems (TIS), ViTCom Systems, LASRAB, MZ Consulting, Docudata Custodian, Templeton Business Consulting, Golden Scepter, Kecam Ventures Ltd, Institute of Information Management, and so many other local and International solution providers were at the expo. The Awards, which marked the climax of the 2013 event was declared opened by RIMA Foundation President, Dr. Oyedokun Ayodeji Oyewole. Awards were presented to deserving individuals and corporate organizations for their involvement, activities and achievements in the information management industry in line with the objectives of RIMA Foundation in promoting proper management and security of records and information in the society. RIMA Awards are fiercely contested and highly valued within the RIM, IS, IT and business world. They are a showcase for individuals and organisations that have demonstrated the vision and the business skills in implementing new technology that ensures real business benefits.
