MUSIC: RHEYMOPHOEBUS – I BLESS FT. AJUJU

Rheymophoebus alias Chukwunonso Onuegbu features a very talented singer and friend Ajuju on this aptly titled single “I Bless”. This beautiful song is quite timely as it delivers a message of positivity and light in these dark days. Rheymophoebus clearly has a strong message as always and does not fail to inspire. As usual, Rheymo is not shy about experimenting with diverse sounds – “I Bless”, like his preceding single “Jesus Pikin” is like nothing you’ve heard from him before.

About Rheymophoebus:

CHUKWUNONSO ONUEGBU aka Big Rheymophoebus is a gifted rapper and talented writer with a background in psychology and banking. He was raised in the suburbs of Akoka Lagos and started rapping in the late nineties. He got discovered and adopted by ace producer ID Cabasa, under who’s tutelage he honed his skills over the years. Rheymo was a core hip-hop enthusiast/artiste until his conviction to practical Christianity. His major musical influences were from groups like Junior&Pretty, Flipmode Squad, EPMD, Dead Prez, M.O.P, Wu-tang Clan etc.

He released his first single in 2005 – “Be with you” produced by Dekumzy. Rheymophoebus subsequently dropped other singles like Orio in 2007; and Buga Rap & Face2d Sky in 2010 (all produced by Ex-o). It is quite appropriate to say he has come a long way. His debut album – “Rheymo Fit Bust” was eventually released in 2011 under Lanre Lawals Blarque Brotha imprint and it contained gems like “Time na Money” – which is a remake of Mike Okri’s 1980’s hit and “Dis Life” – which featured MTN project fame2 winner Mike Anyasodo. Rheymophoebus has keenly featured on numerous mix tapes, sound tracks and musical projects and in recent times collaborated with the likes of Olamide amongst other notables; let’s just say his music speaks for itself.
