ONUEGBU CHUKWUNONSO aka Rheymophoebus, the first born from a family of four hailing from the eastern region of Nigeria is a talented emcee and songwriter with a background in psychology & banking.

Rheymo was raised in the suburbs of Akoka Lagos and started rapping since he fell in love with the art in the late nineties. Amongst those responsible for his musical grooming is ace producer ID Cabasa.

Influenced by the music of groups like Junior&Pretty, EPMD, M.O.P, Wu-tang Clan etc., he has been able to infuse his own unique and indigenous style of rap into his music.

Having dropped previous singles like Orio in 2007, Buga Rap and Face2d Sky respectively in 2009&2010; all Ex-o productions amongst other great songs – you can tell he is focused and consistent.

Recently relocating to Lagos from the Niger Delta, where he spent the last few years, he returns bearing gifts of gold – his new singles: “Time na Money” – which is a remake of Mike Okri’s 1980’s hit. He also recently dropped a club banger titled #CODED, which features Olamide; the song has been described as pure fire. Rheymo’s music speaks for itself.

Rheymophoebus is currently working with the “Cash-In Records” imprint, which is owned by the prolific and multi talented producer/rapper/singer/song writer, “EX-O”.

RHEYMO has always been special and seems to have grown into his element; he’s definitely one to watch………………
